Welcome to Sweet Sherry Pie! I’m Sherry Reuter, a lifelong baker and recipe creator. My love for baking started as a young child in the kitchen with my mom and siblings, where we’d whip up cheesecakes and other sweet treats. Those are some of my fondest memories, and I still cherish and use my mom's original recipes today. Baking with her taught me the art of patience, precision, and a whole lot of love.

My passion led me to Chicago, where I worked as a professional pastry chef in some of the city’s top establishments. Over the years, I honed my skills and developed my own style, blending my family’s nostalgic recipes with my experience in fine pastry.

Sweet Sherry Pie isn’t just a website to me; it’s my way of building a legacy. One of my biggest regrets in life was not saving my grandmother’s recipe box after she passed away. There are so many of her recipes I would have loved to share with my family, especially with my nieces and nephews. So, I created this site as a “virtual recipe box” where I can pass down recipes, memories, and a love for baking to future generations—and to anyone who stops by for a slice of inspiration.
